At Fourrures Grenier, we are committed to protecting the personal information of our customers, collaborators and employees. In accordance with Bill 25, we have established and made public, here, our personal information protection policy. You will therefore find below what we mean by personal information, for what purposes we use this information, our commitments with regard to it, as well as the contact details to contact the person in charge of that matter.<\/p>\n

What constitutes personnal information :<\/h3>\n

For the purposes of this policy and according to the Commission d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019information du Qu\u00e9bec, personal information is defined as follows:<\/p>\n

It is possible for you to browse our website and shop at our Val-d’Or and Barraute stores without having to provide us with any personal information whatsoever. Our website uses a cookie system for marketing purposes. This helps us target our advertising and marketing efforts and allows us to provide you with\u00a0 personalized discounts or offers. If you visit our website and do not want us to use your browsing data, you have the option to refuse cookies in the message that appears at the bottom of our home page. When the customer agrees, we collect the IP address of all visitors to our website and related information such as the Internet browser and operating system they use, the time spent on our product pages and on the website in general, what links led them to our page, usage habits on our website as well as the tool used to visit our site (computer, cell phone or tablet). We collect this information to help us evaluate and improve your experience of our website.<\/p>\n

Subscribe to our newsletter<\/strong><\/p>\n

With your consent, we may ask you for certain other information. For example, when you subscribe to our newsletter, you have to complete our registration form which will ask you for your last name, first name, email address and your language of communication.<\/p>\n

You are free to choose, at any time, not to receive our newsletters by clicking on the \u201cUnsubscribe\u201d button at the bottom of our emails or by contacting us by email or phone. This tacit consent is valid for a period of 2 years after purchase. If more than 2 years have passed since your last purchase, we will send you a newsletter asking if you wish to continue your subscription. If you do not respond to this newsletter, you will automatically be removed from our mailing list. In addition, and as mentioned previously, you are free to unsubscribe from our mailings at any time by clicking on the \u201cUnsubscribe\u201d button.<\/p>\n

When you make a purchase<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you make a purchase on our website, a registration form must be completed to finalize the transaction. Here is the information needed to complete the order:<\/p>\n

This information allows us to open a customer file for you in our system or to complete the information in your customer file. As we sell premium quality items and offer certain guarantees on certain products, opening a customer file during a purchase allows you to claim said guarantees without needing to provide us with proof of purchase. We use your purchase history to offer you a quality customer experience and this allows you to benefit from our loyalty program (by\u00a0 accumulating Grenier points redeemable on our merchandise) for each purchase you make with us. If you wish to make a purchase in store without having to open a customer file, it is possible to do so by telling our sales associate that you refuse the opening of a customer file and the accumulation of Grenier points (keep your invoice if you wish to take advantage of our guarantees). If you wish to make an online purchase but do not want us to keep your information in a customer file, you can specify this in the \u201cOrder Notes\u201d section which appears at the bottom of the registration form. We will send your order and then delete your information\u00a0 from our database.<\/p>\n

Participation in a contest<\/strong><\/p>\n

We frequently organize contests for our customers. If you wish to participate in a contest organized in store, we will ask you to provide your first name, last name, phone number and email address. This information is requested from you so that we can contact you if you are the winner. When you participate in this type of contest, your email address may be added to our newsletter sending list if you are not already one of our subscribers. You are always free to only provide us with your phone number to ensure that you will not be subscribed to our newsletter if you do not want to be. These participation coupons are destroyed (shredded) in the days following the draw.<\/p>\n

If you enter a contest via our social networks, we will not ask you for any information. These contests generally ask you to\u00a0 share\/comment and\/or like our post to participate and that is all we will ask of you.\u00a0 These contests sometimes attract malicious individuals wanting to know your credit card number. Please be careful, we will NEVER ask you to provide your credit card number to claim a prize.<\/p>\n

If you are the winner of one of our contests, we may publish your first and last name on our Facebook page announcing that you are our winner. We request and publish this information to be transparent with our customers and to prove the legitimacy of the contests we organize. We may also ask you to take a photo of yourself with your prize, with the aim of sharing the good news on our social networks. Your consent will always be asked before proceeding, and we will not take your photo if you do not wish to do so.<\/p>\n

Our commitment to the information you provide to us<\/h3>\n

We are committed to respecting your consent in each situation where we ask you for personal information. We also undertake to destroy your information when you request it, when it no longer has any use or when the law requires us to destroy it.<\/p>\n

Right of rectification<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the personal information we hold about you is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to have it corrected. Consequently, and when possible, if we have\u00a0 shared your information with an authorized third party, we will inform them of the rectification if it requires a reasonable effort. Upon request, we may also tell you to whom we have communicated your personal information, so that you can communicate with them directly.<\/p>\n

Right to unsubscribe\/delete your personal information<\/strong><\/p>\n

You have the right to unsubscribe from our emails or to send us a request to delete the personal information we have about you (customer file, purchase history, contact details). You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the transmission of your information at any time. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.<\/p>\n
