Perhaps you already know merino wool and are familiar with its benefits and characteristics. Often outdoor enthusiasts no longer need to be convinced. For those who knew little or who would like to know more before buying a merino wool garment, here is what differentiates this wool from other textiles and materials.<\/p>\n

Merino is a breed of sheep with very thick fleece found mainly in Australia and New Zealand. The wool of this species is known to be finer and softer than any other wool. It is pleasant against the skin. Its durability, comfort and thermo-regulating properties explain why it is used in the manufacture of many outdoor garments.<\/p>\n
